Hand Forged Viking Knife

Hand forged here in St Raymond QC by active and former Canadian Forces Soldiers.

Made at Atelier Du Vieux Corbeau by members taking part in courses and therapy sessions and instructed by a former Warrant Officer with the CF.

Each one of these blades is unique and have had the blood, sweat, tears and love of the creator poured into each one.

Made with a solid bar of 80CRV2 steel, a high carbon chrome-vanadium, 80CRV2 is a tough as nails workhorse steel.

80CRV2 has been around for ages under the common nickname “Swedish saw steel.” From kitchen knives to tomahawks and swords, to pocket knives and hunters on down to little craft carving blades, 80CRV2 is a perfect choice.

 Not only is each blade hand forged by a CF member, the blade itself is heat treated to make sure it stays strong and flexible.

 These start with a solid bar of 80CRV2 steel and then pounded and shaped by each creator.  These are not stamped by a machine and then finished off by hand, no, when we say blood, sweat, tears and love, we mean it.

 If you choose to use these blades out in the bush, or even at home, know that, no matter what you choose to do with these blades, they will take any beating given to them.  

 Or if you want it to put in a case, or on display, it is perfectly suited to that as well. 

Knowing who made these, the process and the healing that has taken place, these also make an amazing gift for that special someone.
